Jack-O-Lantern Contest

This October in celebration of All Hallows’ Eve the Dedee Shattuck Gallery will be hosting a Jack-O-Lantern Contest.  All are welcome to submit a carved pumpkin to the gallery on Wednesday October 29th from 10-5pm.  Whether elegantly carved with patterns of swirly snowflakes or with a freighting Frankensteinesque portrait, all pumpkins are welcome.  On October 30th from 5-7pm pumpkins will be illuminated outside in the Dedee Shattuck Gallery sculpture garden.  During that time pumpkin carvers, friends, and family are invited to vote for their favorite pumpkin. At the end of the evening, all votes will be cast and counted, the winner will receive a special prize. Pumpkins can be submitted to the Dedee Shattuck Gallery at 1 Partners’ Lane, Westport, MA 02719, during open hours 10:00-5:00pm beginning Wednesday October 29th.  Pumpkins must be carved before submitting and have a sufficient opening to insert a tea candle to be submitted.
