Permaculture is an integrated, ecologically based design system for the regeneration of the Earth and human cultures.  As modern technological advances are moving people further from nature, permaculture applies these new understandings of our world to the environment.  Topics that will be introduces such as, alternative currency, natural building and neighborhood resilience illustrate the ways in which individuals and communities can incorporate nature into their constantly-changing lives.  Lydia Silvia will also speak to the importance of sustainable and organic agriculture as well as the establishment of edible forest gardens.
