This December we are delighted to showcase both American music and culture by featuring a night of Americana music along side our Small Works exhibition. Please join us on December 12 at 7pm as we welcome musicians Tony Furtado, Luke Price, and Putnam Murdock to preform their original music.
Tony Furtado is an Americana/Roots musician based in Portland,OR. Recently he has released a 16th album after recording and touring internationally throughout his career. Tony has collaborated and toured with Alison Krauss, Greg Allman, Jim Lauderdale, Jules Shear, Derek Trucks, Jerry Douglas, Buckethead, Sonny Landreth, and Kelly Joe Phelps. His last studio album "Golden" reached #19 on the top 100 albums of 2011 from the Roots Music Report (RMR). Artist's Website
Luke Price, a multi-instrumentalist, combines sound and rhythm by melding traditional and modern techniques. Showcasing his technical abilities, he pushes boundaries as a musician and is empowered by his creations. A graduate of Berklee College of Music he has toured with artists throughout the country, while also establishing his Old Soul Pop band, "Dean!". Currently he teaches as an Associate Professor at Lewis & Clark College, as well as privately. Artist's Website
Putnam Murdock, originally from Dover, Massachusetts, grew up on folk, country, and bluegrass. First beginning as a musician in the rock and roll band "Chief Broom," he had the opportunity of performing in front of sold-out venues throughout the western U.S. In 2002 he graduated from Berklee College of Music with a song writing degree. Currently, he is recording music for several upcoming Ken Burns documentaries and has been on tour for his recent release "Brand New Window". Artist's Website
